European chlorine production up 4.6% on previous month, reflecting moderately higher PVC demand

European January chlorine production reflects a month-on-month improvement in downstream demand owing to seasonal restocking of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). However, chlorine offtake was lower year-on-year as demand for PVC, which uses one-third of European chlorine production, remains sluggish.
