European Union gives green light to free trade agreement negotiation with United States

The member states of the European Union have given the green light to a comprehensive free trade agreement with the United States, German chemical industries association VCI (Frankfurt) says in a statement. The first major hurdle was taken with the adoption of the negotiating mandate for the European Commission.
