Regions :: Western Europe European Authorities Change Exposure Limit for Bisphenol A9:24 AM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Kara Sissell The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA; Brussels) says it will increase the daily exposure limit for bisphenol A (BPA) due to additional data developed in the last five years that removes some of the scientific uncertainties regarding adverse health effects of BPA. EFSA will change the tolerable daily intake (TDI) level, from the temporary standard of 5 micrograms/kilogram of body weight/day set in 2002, to 50 micrograms per kilogram of body weight per day.
