ECHA requests testing proposals for tert-dodecanethiol

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has requested testing proposals for tert-dodecanethiol (TDM). The hazard endpoint for which vertebrate testing has been proposed is sub-chronic toxicity (90 day). TDM is widely used as a chain-transfer agent in the production of polymers, in particular solution styrene–butadiene rubber and emulsion styrene–butadiene rubber.
