Croda Reports Highest-Ever Quarterly Results

Croda (Snaith, U.K.) says it achieved "record results" in the first quarter of 2012. The company posted its highest-ever quarterly sales from continuing operations, which increased 4.7%, to £291 million ($471 million). Croda's operating profits (Ebit) and pretax profits in the first quarter were also its highest ever, increasing 8% and 7.2% year over year, to £65.8 million and £65.1 million, respectively, the company says.
