Clariant’s Third-Quarter Losses Widen, Plans Site Closures

Clariant’s third-quarter losses from continuing operations expanded to SF 45 million ($39.7 million), compared to a net loss of SF14 million in the year-ago period. Sales rose 5%, to SF2.1 billion. Operating income before special items fell 23%, to SF123 million, and fell about 90%, to SF5 million including items.
