Clariant expands PIBSA-emulsifier plant in Australia

Clariant Mining, a Clariant subsidiary, will increase its production of polyisobutylene succinic anhydride (PIBSA) emulsifiers with the expansion of its plant at Lara, Australia, a $3.5-million investment, the company announced today.   "This new investment will allow for dynamic growth in the southern hemisphere also improving the supply chain for our Asian customers," says Andrew Forward, manager/global business development, explosives for Clariant Mining.   The Australia upgrade, scheduled for completion in late 2013, will add to Clariant's...
