Regions :: Western Europe Borealis Sells Melamine Resin Business in Italy12:47 PM MST | February 9, 2009 Borealis says that its AMI Agrolinz Melamine subsidiary has agreed to sell its melamine resins and additives business in Italy to Borgo Olona (Milan), a group of Italian investors. The business is at Castellanza and has capacity for about 12,000 m.t./year of melamine resins and 3,000 m.t./year of additives. The move is in line with Borealis’s strategy to concentrate on basic chemicals. Borgo Olona has renamed the Castellanza operation Chemisol Italia and says it plans to expand the business.
