Bayer gives update on TDI project in Germany

Bayer MaterialScience says its toluene diisocyanate (TDI) project at Dormagen, Germany, has reached a milestone in construction, and start-up is scheduled for the second half of 2014. The company has completed construction of the plant shell and has held a topping-out ceremony. Total capital expenditure on the project, including associated peripheral and utility facilities at the Chempark Dormagen site, will exceed €400 million ($525.6 million).
