BASF to restructure paper chemicals business, may exit alkyl ketene dimer

BASF announced today that it is implementing a series of measures in its paper chemicals business to improve competitiveness and profitability. The company is the global leading producer of paper chemicals and the third largest supplier of process and functional chemicals. Paper chemicals sales in 2012 reached €1.56 billion ($2.1 billion).
