BASF launches production of lithium iron phosphate cathode materials in Germany

BASF today announced the launch of commercial production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials at Weimar, Germany. BASF operates a 3,000-m.t./year plant at Weimar, leveraging LFP precursors produced at Ludwigshafen.
