BASF and CSM form jv to produce biosuccinic acid; plan commercial-scale unit

BASF and CSM (Diemen, the Netherlands) announced today that they will form an equally owned joint venture to produce biobased succinic acid. The news follows three years of research into the project and an announcement last year that the companies plan to form a joint venture.
