Regions :: Western Europe Arkema reports higher third-quarter earnings and sales, confirms guidance7:32 AM MST | November 8, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Arkema today reported a 6.4% increase in third-quarter group net income, to €116 million ($148.1 million), on 1.2% higher sales, at €1.6 billion, including a 2.8% contribution from the acquisitions of Hipro Polymers and Casda Biomaterials in China, and Seppic’s alcoxylates operation. This was offset by a 2.4% drop in volumes because of a slowdown in some end-markets in September, notably automotive and construction in Europe and photovoltaics in general.
