Advanced Petrochemical to Establish PP Production Joint Venture in Turkey

Advanced Petrochemical Co. (Advanced; Jubail, Saudi Arabia) says it will shortly sign a memorandum of understanding with an undisclosed Turkish firm to form a polypropylene (PP) production joint venture in Turkey. The new plant is expected online at the end of 2015. Advanced says the new facility in Turkey will be “more or less similar to our existing plant.” Advanced operates propane dehydrogenation and PP plants at Jubail, designed to produce 455,000 m.t./year of polymer grade propylene and 450,000 m.t./year of PP.
