BASF Completes Expansion of Methanesulfonic Acid Plant at Ludwigshafen

BASF says it has completed a project to triple capacity for methanesulfonic acid to 30,000 m.t./year at Ludwigshafen. BASF says it is the world’s leading producer of methanesulfonic acid, marketed under the Lutropur brand.  Methanesulfonic acid is biodegradable and allows customers to design more efficient, energy- and resource-saving processes, the company says.
