Regions :: Western Europe 3M Subsidiary Breaks Ground on Pilot Plant to Recycle PTFE3:13 PM MDT | August 16, 2012 | Ian Young Dyneon, a 3M subsidiary, has broken ground on a project to build a pilot plant for recycling polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The project is at Dyneon's Gendorf site in the German state of Bavaria. The plant will have capacity to recycle 500 m.t./year of PTFE waste, converting it back into full-value raw materials. The University of Bayreuth (Bayreuth, Germany) had a supporting role in developing the PTFE recycling process, 3M says.
