Praxair Boosts CO2 Capacity in Thailand

Praxair says it will build a carbon dioxide (CO2) plant at Map Ta Phut, Thailand in order to meet increasing demand. The new plant, due onstream in the fourth quarter of 2011, will have capacity of 300 tons/day of liquid CO2. Praxair says demand is growing for CO2 blended into compressed natural gas for vehicles, as well as for the beverage, chemicals, and shrimp-freezing end...
