PTT Phenol Plans Capacity Expansion

PTT Phenol (Bangkok) says it will more than double phenol capacity at Map Ta Phut, Thailand to 450,000 m.t./year by 2010 at a cost of $200 million. The company’s 200,000-m.t./year phenol plant is Thailand’s only facility making phenol for the domestic market, which is currently estimated at 180,000 m.t./year.
