PTT Chemical Acquires 50% Stake in NatureWorks for $150 Million

PTT Chemical (Bangkok) says it has signed an agreement to acquire a 50% stake Cargill's NatureWorks (Minnetonka, MN) subsidiary, a maker of polylactic acid (PLA), for $150 million. NatureWorks says it also plans to build a new PLA production facility in Thailand. NatureWorks expects to bring the new plant in Thailand online in 2015 and will announce further details later this year....
