Regions :: Southeast Asia :: Thailand PTT Asahi Chemical to Establish Acetonitrile Facility in Thailand12:45 PM MDT | July 1, 2009 | Deepti Ramesh Asahi Kasei Chemicals (AKC), an Asahi Kasei subsidiary, says it has signed a memorandum of understanding with energy company PTT (Bangkok), Marubeni, and their joint venture company PTT Asahi Chemical (Bangkok), for setting up a facility for the production of acetonitrile in Thailand. The planned acetonitrile facility at Rayong, Thailand, will have a production capacity of 12,000 m.t./year and is scheduled to start up in the second half of 2011.
