Regions :: Southeast Asia :: Thailand Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Expands Polyacetal Capacity in Thailand10:23 AM MDT | June 13, 2011 Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC: Tokyo) will carry out a major expansion of polyacetal engineering plastics capacity at its Thai Polyacetal joint venture at Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The company, owned 70% by MGC and 30% by the local Toa Dove Chemical, is expanding the plant in two phases. It is debottlenecking the existing 55,000 m.t./year plant to 60,000 m.t./year and plans to build a 40,000-m.t./year unit in the second phase, which will raise the total at the site to 100,000 m.t./year.
