Indorama Reports Rise in Profits and Sales

Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) reported a 30.4% increase in net profits for the third quarter ended September 30, 2011, compared with the year-ago period, to $120 million. Sales more than doubled, to $1.69 billion. The polyethylene terephthalate (PET) business segment of Indorama reported nearly a tripling of sales in the third quarter of 2011 compared with the year-ago period, to $1.21 billion.
