Regions :: Southeast Asia :: Thailand Indian Firm Acquires Thai Tire Cord Manufacturer1:09 AM MDT | September 9, 2008 | Deepti Ramesh India’s largest tire cord manufacturer and producer of fluorochemicals, polyester films and refrigerant gases, SRF (Gurgaon) says it has completed the acquisition of Thailand-based tire cord manufacturer Thai Baroda Industries (Rayong) for about $25 million. SRF had first announced plans to acquire Thai-Baroda last May and now with the completion of the acquisition, it has become a 100% subsidiary of SRF, the company says. Thai-Baroda has a production capacity of about 12,000 m.t./year of dipped nylon tire cord fabric with annual sales of about $50 million...
