Foster Wheeler Lands Thai HPPO Contract

Foster Wheeler says it has been awarded a contract to build a previously announced hydrogen peroxide-to-propylene oxide (HPPO) complex at Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The plant will be built for MTP HPPO Manufacturing Co., a subsidiary of Siam Styrene Monomer, a joint venture between Dow Chemical and Siam Cement. It will be designed to produce 390,000 m.t./year of propylene oxide and is due onstream in 2011.
