BioAmber to Build Succinic Acid Plant to Supply Mitsubishi Chemical and PTT’s Polybutylene Succinate Project in Thailand

Renewable chemistry company BioAmber (Minneapolis, MN) says it will build a biobased succinic acid plant in Thailand to exclusively supply PTT MCC Biochem (Bangkok), a 50-50 joint venture between energy company PTT (Bangkok) and Mitsubishi Chemical that was established earlier this year to produce polybutylene succinate (PBS), a biodegradable plastic, at Map Ta Phut, Thailand.
