Asahi Kasei to double spunbond nonwovens production capacity in Thailand

Asahi Kasei says its Asahi Kasei Fibers (AKF; Osaka) subsidiary will invest about ¥5 billion ($49 million) to expand production capacity for polypropylene spunbond nonwoven fabric in Thailand. The Thailand spunbond subsidiary will add a production line with 20,000-m.t./year of capacity at its facility at the Saha industrial park, at Sriracha, Chon Buri Province.
