PTT Global Chemical expands aromatics capacity

PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC; Bangkok) says that it has signed an engineering, procurement, and construction contract with SK Engineering & Construction (SK E&C; Seoul) and PTT Maintenance and Engineering (Map Ta Phut, Thailand), for PTTGC's debottlenecking project at the company's aromatics 2 plant at Map Ta Phut. The total investment in the project will be about $128.8 million and the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
