Sumitomo Chemical establishes new subsidiary in Singapore

Sumitomo Chemical says it has established a new wholly owned subsidiary called Sumitomo Chemical (Asia Pacific) at Singapore as its regional headquarters for the Southeast Asia, India, and Oceania region. The new company will begin operation on 1 April. Sumitomo currently has 22 companies operating in 8 countries in this region, which is positioned as an important area for Sumitomo in advancing its global business, the company says. The region, which includes Southeast Asia, with a population of over 600 million and a GDP of about $2 trillion, is expected to grow...
