Stepan Increases Ownership in Stepan Philippines

Stepan (Northfield, IL) says it has increased its controlling interest in Stepan Philippines (Muntinlupa, Philippines) from 89% to 100%. Stepan Philippines operates a surfactant manufacturing plant, south of Manila, which began as a joint venture. Stepan and its now wholly owned subsidiary, Stepan Philippines, are committed to meeting surfactant customer needs in the Philippines as well as Southeast Asia, the company says.
