Sinopec in Talks to Build a Refinery and Petrochemical Complex in Singapore

Sinopec is in discussions with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) about building a refinery and petrochemical complex on Jurong Island, Singapore. The company recently announced that it is "studying the investment opportunity." Sources at EDB say that the board "engages with companies from various industries and countries on a regular basis and Sinopec is one of them."
