The 750,000 m.t./year facility is based on Shell's Omega process, which Shell is using for the first time. The project forms part of a much bigger petrochemicals investment in Singapore, which also includes a new 800,000-m.t./year ethylene plant, a butadiene extraction facility and modifications to Shell's Bukom refinery.
