Petronas to Invest $20 billion in Oil Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex in Southern Malaysia

Petronas plans to build a $20 billion refinery and petrochemicals complex at Pengerang in the southern state of Johor, bordering Singapore, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced today. The project, dubbed the Refinery and Petrochemicals Integrated Development (Rapid), is at the detailed feasibility stage and would come onstream at the end of 2016, he said.
