Major Fire at Shell’s Singapore Site Forces Refinery Shutdown

Shell says it is taking steps to shut refinery operations at its Bukom Island complex due to a major fire at the site. Firefighters continue to fight the fire, which started yesterday. Shell says it is working closely with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) to contain the fire.
