Lucite Opens Singapore MMA Plant; Considers Sites for More Units

Lucite International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Rayon, has today officially opened its 120,000 m.t./year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant on Jurong Island, Singapore. It is the first MMA production facility to use Lucite's revolutionary Alpha technology. The company says that this is the first in a series of Alpha MMA production facilities and it has already shortlisted a number of locations, including Singapore, for the second unit.
