IMCD Acquires Malaysian Plastics and Industrial Chemicals Distributor

IMCD Malaysia, a subsidiary of IMCD (Rotterdam), says it has agreed to acquire Tropichem's (Batu Caves, Malaysia) plastics and industrial chemicals distribution business. The agreement will be effective from June 1, 2012 and it will include amino and phenolic moulding compounds, specialty coatings, and engineering plastics, the company says. IMCD will also offer logistical and customer support to ensure a smooth transition. Financial details were not disclosed.
