Air Products to supply liquid nitrogen to underground petchem storage in Singapore

Air Products announced today that it has been awarded a contract to supply liquid nitrogen to Singapore’s Jurong Rock Caverns (JRC) project, an underground storage facility for petrochemical products—the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, the company says. The liquid nitrogen will be used as a blanketing gas for the oil storage caverns for safety purposes, Air Products says. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
