Afton Chemical breaks ground on Singapore project

Afton Chemical (Richmond, VA), part of NewMarket Corp., has held a ground breaking ceremony for a previously announced chemical additives manufacturing facility on Jurong Island, Singapore. The plant, designed and located to support the growth of the Asia/Pacific and Mideast markets, will start production in January 2016 to support the next generation of additive solutions.   Foster Wheeler Singapore will manage the engineering and construction. The first unit will produce detergents for commercial use in 2016, to support Afton’s engine oil business...
