Regions :: Southeast Asia :: Singapore Lanxess Breaks Ground for Nd-PBR Plant in Singapore4:52 PM MDT | September 11, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Lanxess today broke ground for a previously announced neodymium-based polybutadiene rubber (Nd-PBR) plant on Jurong, Singapore. Lanxess is investing about €200 million ($255.6 million) in the new facility, which will be designed to produce 140,000 m.t./year and will be the largest such unit, the company says. It will serve the growing market for so-called green tires, especially in Asia. The plant is expected to start up in the first half of 2015.
