Vopak Buys Terminal in Indonesia

Vopak says it has reached an agreement with Mitsui & Co. to acquire a 95% stake in PT Pro-Intercontinental Terminals Indonesia, a chemical tank terminal at Merak, Indonesia. The terminal handles imports of liquid chemical products, and provides storage and transhipment services, Vopak says. It consists of 33 tanks with total storage capacity of 76,900 cu meters. The acquisition gives Vopak an entry into the Indonesian bulk liquid storage market and strengthens the company’s presence in Asia, Vopak says. The remaining 5% stake in the terminal is held by...
