Regions :: Southeast Asia :: Indonesia Sasol Abandons Coal-to-Liquids Project in Indonesia1:44 AM MST | January 19, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Sasol has decided not to continue with a proposed coal-to-liquids (CTL) project in Indonesia, the company tells CW. “Sasol has taken the decision to accelerate its focus on business development of new gas-to-liquids (GTL) opportunities and to limit its focus on the development of CTL opportunities beyond current projects in China and India, which are already at advanced stages of development,” a Sasol spokesperson says. Sasol says it plans to continue its partnership with the Indonesian government and to progress discussions on potential GTL projects...
