Regions :: Southeast Asia :: Indonesia Lenzing Becomes Majority Shareholder of Indonesian Firm10:46 AM MDT | August 1, 2007 | Deepti Ramesh Lenzing has increased its stake in PT South Pacific Viscose (SPV; Purwakarta, Indonesia) from 41.98%, to 85.79%. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. SPV operates Lenzing’s largest rayon fiber production site outside of the group’s main manufacturing complex at Lenzing, Austria. It has 150,000 m.t./year of capacity at Purwakarta and employs more than 1,500. Lenzing says it was the first European company to buy shares in SPV, and has owned a stake in the company since 1980.
