DuPont Opens Seed Production Plant in Philippines

DuPont says that its Pioneer Philippines business has inaugurated the first phase of its new production plant at Tarlac City, Philippines. The facility is expected to produce 3,500 m.t./year of seed, and will complement seed production at the existing facility in the Mindanao region in Philippines. The output would double after completion of the second phase in 2011, and the plant is expected to supply other Pioneer locations that have limited or no local seed production, DuPont says. “We now have the resources and capabilities to grow the business while...
