Regions :: Southeast Asia Thai Oil to Build Linear Alkyl Benzene Plant8:54 AM MST | February 28, 2012 | Deepti Ramesh Thai Oil (Bangkok), an affiliate of energy firm PTT (Bangkok), plans to expand the company’s aromatics capacity, say press reports. The company will invest a total of $1 billion to expand aromatics capacity, power generation, as well as improve the efficiency of its refinery and petrochemicals operations. The specific investment in its petrochemicals business was not disclosed. The company plans to invest $300 million to build a new linear alkyl benzene (LAB) plant at the company’s oil refinery at Si Racha, Chonburi Province, Thailand, reports say...
