Tata Chemicals to Invest in Singapore Seedling Firm to Boost Biofuels Program

Tata Chemicals (Mumbai) says it has signed an agreement to invest S$25 million ($17 million) in Jatropha seedling company, JOil (Singapore). According to the agreement, Tata Chemicals will get exclusive marketing rights for JOil’s Jatropha seedlings in East Africa and India, and also a preferential price for seedlings that Tata Chemicals requires for its own cultivation of Jatropha.
