Syngenta's Sales Rise by 9%, Integrated Strategy Driving Performance

Syngenta today reported a 9% increase in sales in the first quarter of 2012 with volumes advancing by 5% and prices contributing 4%. Reported sales were 7% higher at $4.3 billion. The company does not disclose first quarter profitability data. In Europe, Africa and the Middle East, sales were up by 14% at constant exchange rates compared with a strong quarter in 2011.
