Singapore Refinery Fire Will Cost Shell $150 Million

The recent fire and production outage at Shell's Bukom refinery in Singapore will shave about $150 million, after tax, off the company's fourth-quarter earnings, Shell says. The financial impact is "a combination of lost revenue and the costs of recovery," Shell tells CW. The fire broke out at the refinery on September 28 and was extinguished one day later.
