Regions :: Southeast Asia Singapore Firm Studies Petchem Complex in Vietnam9:56 AM MDT | July 27, 2007 | Deepti Ramesh SP Chemicals (Singapore) says it is evaluating the possibility of building a petrochemical complex in Vietnam. The complex would be built at Hoa Tam-Vung Ro in Phu Yen Province and would cost about $1.2 billion. SP’s management has made several trips to the region to study the project’s feasibility, and signed preliminary agreements last month with the Phu Yen People’s Committee. The company says that the agreements are not legally binding and do not contain any legal or financial commitments. A time line for the project has not yet been agreed...
