Shin-Etsu invests $117 million to build rare earth magnet production plant in Vietnam

Shin-Etsu Chemical says that it will invest about ¥12 billion ($117 million) to build a new rare earth magnet manufacturing plant in Vietnam. The new plant will be built in two phases at the site of Shin-Etsu Magnetic Materials Vietnam, which is located in the Dinh Vu Industrial Park in Hai Phong Province. Shin-Etsu Magnetic Materials Vietnam is a Shin-Etsu subsidiary that specializes in the separation and refinement of rare earths.
