Petronas to Build Refinery and Petrochemicals Complex in Malaysia

Petronas says it plans to build a new integrated refinery and petchem complex in southern Johor, Malaysia. The project, to be called the refinery and petrochemicals integrated development (Rapid), was announced today by Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia. The project is at the stage of detailed feasibility study and is expected to cost about $20 billion.
