Petronas and Evonik Industries form jv to produce specialty chemicals in Malaysia

Petronas and Evonik Industries have announced the signing of a letter of intent to jointly develop a project to produce specialty chemicals within Petronas’s $20-billion refinery and petrochemical integrated development (Rapid) project in Pengerang, Johor, Malaysia. The two companies will form a partnership to jointly own, develop, construct, and operate facilities for the production of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), C4 comonomer, and oxo products within Rapid.
